Wild Heart – The Rose and the Beast
There are roses that only reveal themselves at nightfall.
Cœur Fauve was born from this image: a fairytale rose, protected by thorns and an unseen presence. It doesn't seek to seduce; it attracts gently, like a secret that reveals itself only to those who dare to approach it.
A clear, almost innocent departure
The fragrance opens with a soft light, a fresh and subtly aromatic breath, reminiscent of a garden at dusk. Nothing aggressive: it's a calm, soothing beginning that inspires confidence before plunging into something more intense.
The heart: the wild rose and the beast's hide
At the center, the rose unfolds, but without fully revealing itself. It is accompanied by chamomile and rockrose, which bring a warm and slightly sweet halo.
Beneath its petals, one senses the animal: a leather accord, with subtly oud accents, brings this wild vibration, both sensual and shadowy. This leather is not harsh; it glides, it whispers.
A woody background, nocturnal velvet
In the background, dark woods – cypriol, guaiac, sandalwood – create an enveloping, deep, almost velvety base.
I added a rooted, organic facet, which gives the whole thing a natural grounding. The fragrance becomes more organic, more intimate, and melts into the skin like a warm breath in the night.
Why I created it
I've never liked roses that are too obvious.
For Cœur Fauve , I chose to work with a rose that carries within it both light and shadow. A fragrance that unfolds gently, that charms without ever being overpowering, and that reveals, beneath its sweetness, a wild heart.
